Between 2018 and 2020, I curated 8 seasons of film screenings for Louvre Abu Dhabi, based on my proposal of having a regular film program that’s in dialogue with artworks and exhibitions at the museum.

June-July 2018
The inaugural film program for Louvre Abu Dhabi were inspired by art works in the museum, to create a dialogue between cinema and art.

Film Program: Japanese Connections: The Birth of Modern Decor
October 2018
Japanese Connections: The Birth of Modern Decor exhibition looks at the influence of Japanese art on the development of modern decor at the turn of the 20th century. The film screenings for this exhibition include a mix of experimental, classic and animated films. Read more here.
Film Program: Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia
January-February 2019
This film series is about the Arabian Peninsula, past and present, transporting viewers to the deserts of Saudi Arabia, the underwater wildlife of the Red Sea, a female camel owner entering the male dominated world of camel beauty pageants in the United Arab Emirates, and further afield to Wadi Rum desert of Jordan for a story about brotherhood, revenge and brotherhood.
